#NoToDogMeat : Nearly one year ago, our CEO and Founder Julia deCadenet took a short film to the Cannes Film Festival. This was shown in the famous Marche du Film and will be available this year at Cannes in the on-line screen room. It is a montage of images from the activist Kyenan Kum from IAKA, who pioneered the campaign to tell the world about the terrible plight of dogs in South Korea. Julia and Kyenan continue to work to raise awareness and help small shelters for one reason and one reason only.. the dogs and cats! Look into the eyes of this poor fellow, one of the images Ms Kum took photo over 20 years ago ! ! Perhaps progress has been made. That’s what we would all love to hear but there is a still a long way to go. Both Julia and Kyenan and their respective organisations have faced opposition.Neither will stop trying. If you look into this dogs eyes, really look, and you knew you could even make a small difference, would you stop trying? Please join us on May 18th 2014 email@example.com
Some people say, wearing a shirt that says NoToDogMeat or NoToCatMeat or handing out some flyers won’t change the world. We say we love you ! No action is ever too small. As long as dogs and cats are begging for their lives. As long as they are tortured for food, beaten to death and skinned alive, you will find us out campaigning. Family campaign with a serious message

NoToDogMeat CEO J de Cadenet is proud to support the Jakarta Animal Aid Network, as they set off on their “Dogs Are Not Food Campaign Tour”.
Dedicated members of the Jakarta Animal Aid Network set off on their bicycles on the 1st May, from Jakarta to Jogya – all wearing teeshirts, bearing the message “Dogs Are Not Food”.
The team state “Dogs are social creatures and are companion animals. Dogs are not registered as “life stock for consumption” and therefor slaughter houses for dogs do not follow government approved SOP’s concenrning the slaughter process, hygiene standards, SOP of transporting.” You can read more about their work on their facebook page
Ms de Cadenet, CEO of World Protection of Dogs and Cats in the Meat Trade, couldn’t agree more and states:
“Millions of dogs, and cats as well, find themselves caught up in the illegal meat trade, where there is absolutely no protection. The UN does not recognise dogs or cats as farmed animals, in the way it does cows, pigs, sheep and chickens. The travesty is, that some people in South East Asia, still hold the belief, that if a dog is tortured, then the consumer will gain health benefits. Tortured dog flesh is also believed to act as a viagra, and sadly some young South Korean and Chinese men still follow their ancestors, by torturing their food. Sadly, some cats and dogs are also cooked alive using 1,000 year old recipes. We fully support the awareness tour and take our hats off to the young Indonesian men who are saying dogs are not food”.
On May 18th, No To Dog Meat will holding its 2nd worldwide awareness day for dogs and cats in the meat trade.
The London team will hold an event 12pm – 5pm. If you would like to be involved, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org

We are so privileged that leading creatives are working with us. Thankyou Young and Rubicam Thailand for this award winning campaign! May 18th is our Second World Awareness Day Against the Cruel illegal Dog and Cat Meat Trade. The War is definitely NOT over. Respecting Culture does not mean Condoning Cruelty. This is an issue that unites all of us!

#NoToDogMeat – want the #Yulin dog eating festival stopped before it starts this year. Many more Chinese activists and celebs are getting involved. They started in Weibo – we must echo them & offer encouragement to get a result – make sure the world hears about this disgusting ‘festival’ where all ages participate in eating dogs who will have suffered severely 10-15,000 in a weekend! #cancelYulinDogEatingFestival – in support of TACN official.
